“…. morning glory”
Sorry, every time I see what’s the story I can’t help but remember that Oasis song.
There’s really not much to tell, or is there? I’m a blog junkie and over the last year or so I have been trying to keep my blogs to a bare minimum, but once again I seem to have started to branch out until I can’t keep track. I’m extremely happy with WordPress compared to all the others and have decided to combine all of my blogs (except my book blog) and keep it that way! Hah!
Bit about myself if you must know – I’m in my 20′s (alright then it’s the later end), housebound (might explain some things), have M.E. (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis) and Type 1 Diabetes (and of course they do not play nice together!) both of which I never like to make a big deal out of, get told a lot by my partner (who is awesome) that I’m a dork (and she may be right), and my brain just went blank…
Other then that the main contenders for my attention are the following;
- Books - I love books so much that if the house was burning I’d try to grab all the books over my photos. I will read almost anything as long as it has a message or a lesson of some sort. I do prefer Classic Lit, Dystopia, Dark Fiction, Historical Fiction, Kink Fiction, Steampunk, Science Fiction with aliens or time travel, Young Adult, Urban Fantasy, Dark Fantasy, Vampire Fiction, and the odd Non Fiction. I refrain from reading straight out romance, Jane Austen, and Shakespeare.
- Writing – I’m a writer and always have been. It’s not a job, it’s not a daydream, it’s just who I am. I currently don’t have anything published, but am working on something when my health allows me to.
- Movies – I love film and not just typical Hollywood flicks either (do enjoy those too), but Art House, World Cinema, Asian Films, Martial Arts, Classic Films, B Grade Horror, Horror especially with a supernatural touch, Australian Films, Steampunk (again!), German Expressionism, and some Animation (not Anime). I also love short films because there’s always something touching and unique with them.
- Games – Yeah, yeah yeah… I’m a bit of a gaming geek. I do love to play games and have been doing so since I was a munchkin. I don’t play online games, preferring consoles (like PS3 and Xbox), and I’m not exactly the girly type of gamer either. I have quite a dark self and one of my favourite subjects or themes in different areas is survival horror so naturally I like survival horror in games. I started out with platformers, but have been branching out in the last couple of years with RPG’s. My favourite games consist of God of War, Mass Effect, Fallout 3, Ratchet and Clank, and Bioshock.
- Cultures – Oh how I love different cultures and anything to do with them. Japan, Russia, South America, Africa, Czech Republic, Tibet, Middle Eastern, India, France, Italy, Holland, Indigenous cultures, and pretty much all other cultures except for the northern part of the United States (not Canada, but the northern area because I like the whole Southern culture).
- Art - From participating to appreciating I love art. Photography, drawings, paintings, sculptures, jewellery making, metal work, leather work, architecture, live art, dark art, and even street art on occasion.
- Sub Cultures – I’m not exactly a fan of labels when it comes to placing yourself in society and I’m a little all over the place so eclectic eccentric is more my scene, but I do love some sub cultures and have a fascination with others. The reason being is I’m a bit Goth, Hippie, Naturist, and Steampunk at heart. I particularly love Goth and Victoriana/Steampunk (I like dirty Steampunk, but do prefer the Victoriana or Goth version of it). I also have a fascination with BDSM sub culture including Gorean (because adopting Gorean as a lifestyle is psychologically fascinating to me).
Other interests include mental conditioning and psychology, dark mythology (when I say dark I mean the death deities mostly) and mythology in general, history, science, nature, evolution, numbers, serial killers, arachnids and insects, dark and alternative fashion, footwear (don’t get me started on boots), Ancient civilisation, Sparta, philosophy, music, musical instruments (string in particular, especially cello and guqin), Ninjutsu, spirituality, metaphysics, alternative health and well being, skeletons, words and dictionaries, languages, postcards from around the world, rings, space, and I’ll leave it at that…
